* Worked four innings in his first game for Midland in the 1938 West Texas-New Mexico League, losing 5-2. 
* Helping Spokane win the Western International League title on the last day of the 1948 season was his greatest thrill; the club had been in the second division in mid-August, then won 45 of its last 56 games with Frank tossing the pennant-clincher.
