Jack Edward Jones is single and lives in San Antonio, Texas per the 1949 California League Gold Book.  His nationality is German.  He graduated from Jefferson High School in San Antonio in 1946 and participated in baseball, football, basketball and track.  He is an electrical worker during the off-season.  His hobby is shows.  He served in the U. S. Navy for 22 months.  He is a nephew of infielder Johnny Conway who was formerly with the Cincinnati Reds and Birmingham.  Jack's mother was a well-known softball player in San Antonio.
