Billy Jack Donaghey was born in Hartshorne, OK on January 31, 1921. He played in the minor leagues for the Ada Herefords, Ada, OK; Globe-Miami Browns in Globe, AZ; Texans in El Paso, TX -- He also played in Tishomingo, OK and Muskogee, OK at some point in his career; then ended up with the Herefords back in Ada. He was hired by the Plymouth Oil Company in 1952 to play Semi-Pro ball in the summer while he worked in the oil fields in winter. The team was disbanded in 1957, but he continued working for Plymouth. Plymouth sold their interests to Marathon Oil Company and we moved to Artesia, NM in 1965. He died at the age of 77 on August 12, 1998 in Artesia, NM
