  • He led the 1940 West Texas-New Mexico League in doubles with 51 and led the first basemen in double plays with 102.
  • While in San Francisco he got seven straight hits in pinch hitting roles.

  • Was an automobile salesman in the off-season.
  • Served three years with the U. S. Army.
