Al Clark umpired in professional baseball in 1972 through 2001, reaching the American League in 1976.
Clark was fired by Sandy Alderson, then Executive VP of the Commissioner's office, in June, 2001; he was later convicted of falsely authenticating thousands of baseball memorabilia items for resale at inflated prices.
