Donald Henson is single and lives in Palm Sprigs, California per the 1952 California League Gold Book (Fourth Edition).  He graduated from Palm Springs High School and was a member of the baseball, basketball, football and track teams.  He attended Chaffey Junior College.  He works in his father's restaurant during the off-season.  His most embarrassing experience came in a high school championship game when he hit the opposing pitcher four times, the last time with the bases loaded to lose the title game.
