Nicholas (Nick) Thomas Ananias is single and lives in South Gate, California per the 1949 California League Gold Book. He graduated from South Gate High School in 1945 and participated in baseball, basketball and track. He was captain of the baseball team. He works in a movie studio during the off-season. His hobby is all sports. He served in the U. S. Navy for 21 months. His biggest thrill in baseball was hitting his first home run in pro ball with Independence in 1948. He led the 1948 Kansas-Oklahoma-Missouri League in triples with 11, in strikeouts with 112 and placed second in doubles with 25 and was third in total bases with with 170.
