Bill Archer played professional baseball from 1937 to 1938.

  • Graduate of University of California at Berkeley (1935); held a M.A. from USC.
  • Played halfback for Cal football team
  • Football coach at Lodi (CA) High School (1941); assistant football coach at Cal after WWII; football coach at Santa Rosa Junior College (1952-1972).
  • Served as Lieutenant Commander in US Navy, 1942-1946.
  • Member of athletic Halls of Fame at Cal and Santa Rosa JC.
