John (Croke) Paul Crocco is married and lives in Modesto, California per the 1952 California League Gold Book (Fourth Edition). His nationality is Italian. He graduated from Modesto High School in 1942 and was a member of the baseball and track teams. He is a grape grower during the off-season. His hobbies are hunting and fishing. He served in the U. S. Navy for 30 months. His uncle, Jack Gilligan, pitched for the Saint Louis Browns in 1909-1910.
