Maurice Peatros is married and lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania per the 1952 Pioneer League Index. His nationality is American Negro. He graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1944 and participated in football, basketball, swimming and tennis. He attended the University de Laval in Quebec City, Quebec for two years and played hockey. During the off-season he plays professional for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. His hobby is driving car. He played for the Homestead Grays in the Negro National League. He played for Farnham in the outlaw Quebec Provincial League in 1948-1949. On August 8, 1948 he pitched a no-hit, no-run game for Farnham against Sherbrooke. The losing pitcher in this no-hit, no-run game was Adrian Zabala, a former New York Giant hurler. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 11 months. He led the 1951 Middle Atlantic League first basemen in fielding average with .989.
