Richard (Dick) Hilton Rand is single and lives in Bostonia, California per the 1949 California League Gold Book. He attended Grossmont High School in Grossmont, California and participated in baseball. He is a manifold inspector in the aircraft industry during the off-season. He is related to Don Carter, a pitcher for San Diego in the Pacific Coast League.
