James Earl Sampson is married and lives in San Francisco, California per the 1952 Pioneer League Index. He graduated from Poly High School and participated in baseball, football and track. His is a mail carrier during the off-season. His brother, Willie Sampson, is an infielder for Yuma in the Southwest International League.
