- Was inducted into the Virginia High School Hall of Fame in 2008
- Played eight seasons of professional basketball overseas
- Holds Virginia high school records for high jump (7-foot), triple jump (49-8 ¼) and long jump (23-11 ¼)
- Won the 1992 NCAA Slam Dunk contest, capping one of the best basketball careers at Eastern Tennessee State University. His #24 jersey was retired by the school in 2006.
