  • The Midwest League played a 126 game, split-season schedule which began on April 28 and ended on September 2. The first half ended on June 29.
  • An All-Star Game was played on July 8 between a Midwest League All-Star team and first-half champion Quad Cities; the All-Stars won by a 5-1 score[1].
  • Quad Cities defeated Decatur 2-1 in the post-season championship playoff.
  • Total 1968 attendance: 441,938.
