  • The Midwest League played a 140 game, three-division, split-season schedule which began on April 8 and ended on September 6. The first half ended on June 20.
  • An All-Star Game was played on June 22 between All-Star Teams representing the league's Eastern and Western halves. The West won by a 1-0 score[1].
  • A three-tier championship playoff was held after the season, including two wild cards whose selection was based on their full-season performance. The best-of-five championship round was won by Burlington.
  • Total 1999 attendance: 2,774,427.
