Played collegiality at University of California - Irvine. Among his awards and honors were Collegiate Baseball "Louisville Slugger" Preseason All-American in 2007 and Easton Big West All-Conference first-team (2007).[1] At Westlake (CA) High School, he was 2002 and 2003 Marmonte League Player of the Year, two-time first team All-CIF and was selected to the All-Ventura County team his junior and senior years. He was also second team all-state and voted Westlake High School Athlete of the Year in 2003.[2]
