Parker was born in Pawtucket, R.I. in 1872, the son of John and Catherine E. Parker.  He died May 21, 1914 at his home in Pawtucket.  He was a pitcher, and pitched for a semi-pro team in Woonsocket for five years, with Napoleon Lajoie as his batterymate.  The battery broke up when Lajoie was signed by Fall River of the New England League.  Parker was signed by Fall River shortly after but only stayed with the team a few weeks.
