While Jack Falls was with the Marion (NC) Marauders of the Class D Western Carolina League in 1952, he was selected by league managers, sports writers and broadcasters as the rightfielder for the league All-Star Team..[1]

At the end of the season a newspaper article reported that "[Jack Falls] belongs to the Gastonia (NC) Rockets of the Tri-State League and will work out with them next spring, awaiting assignment."[2]
