- Was adjudged the most outstanding amateur baseball player in Ohio in 1937.
Achievements
- Led the 1939 Middle Atlantic League in two base hits with 42.
- Tied for the lead in stolen bases with 40 in the 1947 Pacific Coast League.
- Led the 1948 Pacific Coast League in runs scored with 133.
Outside of baseball
- Is in the insurance business during the off-season.
