Frank Leo Bruggy, the first string catcher, was born in Elizabeth, N.J., May 4, 1891. He played with Elizabeth in 1909. He attended Seton Hall in 1910 and 1911, playing in the outfield and behind the bat. He went to Providence in 1912. He then played with Pittsfield. He came to Lawrence last season. He also plays basketball with Gloversville in the New York State league. [1]
