Louisville, Oct. 1. - Nick Herchenroeder, more widely known as Nick Reeder, the ball player, died on the morning of Sept. 26 at his room over 624 1/2 Fourth Avenue, after a brief illness of brain fever. He was 26 years of age and was born in this city. He began his career with the Deppens. He was once with the Louisvilles under Chapman. Early in the present season he played in the Southern League, afterward going to Lexington. [1]
