• Played baseball, basketball, and football in high school.

Achievements

• Led the the 1974 American Association and 1977 American Association in fielding percentage among outfielders.
• One of just three minor league outfielders to win a Silver Glove in 1975.

Coaching

• Began his managerial/coaching career as a coach for 1981 Tucson. In 1982, he coached at 1982 Asheville
• Named to Cleveland Indians coaching staff oon December 2, 1987. Was first base coach for 1988 Cleveland Indians and 1989 Cleveland Indians.
