- Resided in New Iberia, Louisiana in 1953.

Pre-professional career
- Attended New Iberia High School.
- Was a top boxer in high school.
- Had a scholarship to Louisiana State University in boxing but the U.S. Marine Corps beckoned him first.
Achievements
- Led the 1951 Evangeline League in home runs with 42 and that set a new League record.
Career notes
- Played at New Iberia in the Evangeline League in 1942, before the league was disbanded.
- Was in the Marines from 1943-1945 and did not play professional baseball.
Relatives
- His brother, Roland LeBlanc, was a catcher with the Saint Louis Cardinals and later a manager of Cardinal farm clubs.
