  • The Midwest League played a 144 game, three-division schedule which began on April 9 and ended on August 31.

  • A two-tier championship playoff was held after the season, with one slot filled by a wild-card. The best-of-three championship round was won by Appleton.

    • This was the league's first million-fan season.
