• Starred inbaseball, basketball and football in high school.
• Was captain of the football team in high school.
• Attended the University Of Syracuse.
• Won baseball, basketball and football letters at the University Of Syracuse.
• Pitched on an Army team which won the title in Sicily.

Achievements

• Led the 1946 Pioneer League in complete games pitched with 27.
