The Boston Journal, June 12, 1867: "Dorchester. Base Ball. A match game of base ball was played Saturday afternoon in Dorchester between the first nines of the Enterprise and Mohawk Base Ball Clubs, resulting in a defeat of the latter in a score of 15 to 10."
Dorchester MA (1860 pop. about 10,000 -- 95th largest US populaton) is abut 5 miles S of downtown Boston.
