Edward (Big Ed) Frank Sobczak is single and lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania per the 1951 California League Gold Book (Third Edition). His nationality is Polish. He graduated from Langley High School in 1943 and was a member of the swimming team. He graduated from Michigan State College in 1949 and played varsity baseball, football and basketball. His most exciting experience in college was catching a pass which beat Santa Clara at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco in 1948. His hobbies are photography and bowling. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps for 18 months.
