- Helping Spokane win the Western International League title on the last day of the 1948 season was
his greatest thrill; the club had been in the second division in mid-August, then won 45 of its last 56 games with Frank tossing the pennant-clincher.

- Was on the all-star diamond team for three years.
Achievements
- Set a new Western International League record whe he pitched 300 innings in 1948.
- Led the 1948 Western International League in complete games with 30.

- Is a truck driver during the off-season.
- Served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
- His ship was sunk off the coast of Samoa and Frank and his buddies were in the water 48 hours
before being rescued.
