George (Bobby) Robert Thompson is single and lives in Belleville, Illinois per the 1951 California League Gold Book (Third Edition). His nationality is American Negro. He graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1949 and participated in baseball, basketball and track. He is a stock clerk during the off-season. His hobby is working on automobiles. He played American Legion ball for Belleville Post #58, which finished third in the country in 1948. His most unusual experience was hitting into a triple play last year with Redding against Reno.
