He was born December 10, 1885, in Mineral Point, Ohio. He died January 26, 1969, in New Philadelphia, Ohio. In 1968, he was inducted into the Tuscarawas County Baseball Hall of Fame, which is now named after Cy Young. He batted right-handed and threw right-handed.
