James D. Nagle - born Nov. 1884 - St. Paul, Minnesota Throws left 1900 Minnesota census - James living in St. Paul, Min. with father James, mother Eliza and 5 siblings. States James was born Nov. 1884 - Minnesota. 1910 Minnesota census - James living in St. Paul, Min. with father James, mother and 5 siblings. James is listed as a pitcher baseball. St. Paul, Min. city directory for 1883-1884, 1884-1886 and 1891-1891 all have father James living at 264 Duke, St. Paul which is the same address for the family in the 1900, 1910, & 1920 census. "SL" dated May 22, 1909 states that Toledo pitcher Nagle was sent home to St. Paul, Min.. James Nagle was in 3 games for Toledo in 1909 and had a 0 w and 2 l. SEE Lin Weber's Toledo Mud Hens and or Swales' collection. "SL" dated May 23, 1908, June 20, 1908, Mar. 27, 1915 all state that Nagle is a "southpaw". I.E. throws left. 1920 Minnesota census shows James living in St. Paul, Min. with father James, mother and three siblings. I have not been able to find James in the WWI draft registration or 1930 census.
