Gorsica had four hits in the game but did not get the decision as Tigers won the game in thirteen innings. Less than a month later 9/1/41, Gorsica came into a game as a relief pitcher with the Tigers trailing the St Louis Browns 7-0. The Tigers rallied to win the game and Gorsica had four hits in that game, also.
