  • Resided in New Iberia, Louisiana in 1953.
  • In Remy's first pro game he doubled to win the game.
  • Hitting three home runs in one game is his greatest thrill.

  • Attended New Iberia High School.
  • Was a top boxer in high school.
  • Had a scholarship to Louisiana State University in boxing but the U.S. Marine Corps beckoned him first.

  • Led the 1951 Evangeline League in home runs with 42 and that set a new League record.

  • Played at New Iberia in the Evangeline League in 1942, before the league was disbanded.
  • Was in the Marines from 1943-1945 and did not play professional baseball.

  • His brother, Roland LeBlanc, was a catcher with the Saint Louis Cardinals and later a manager of Cardinal farm clubs.
