I have emails from Bill Wynn (a Danville fan; dated 1/31/01) and Scotty Kurtz (a 1970 Danville player; dated 5/4/07) stating that Frank Calo managed the 1970 Danville Warriors, apparently a last-minute recruit because Bob Bauer took sick. And the Quincy Herald Whig listed Calo as one of the league managers on 4/26/1970 according to an email from Jerry Jackson (yup) on 12/7/01.  Nonetheless, all the usual sources list Bauer as the team's manager--and Bauer apparently won the Manager of the Year award from the leagueI wasn't able to find anything useful in TSN when Paper of Record was available. Hypothesis: Calo's was a temporary gig, and when Bauer (who was a local guy) recovered he returned to the Danville helm.  But that's just a guess.--[[User:Jowo|jowo]] 13:54, 13 April 2009 (EDT)

All of the standard sources list Bauer as the manager of Danville in 1970; they also show him as the Midwest League Manager of the Year.  This is incorrect; Frank Calo led that club.
