==Profile== As a youngster he attended Worcester Academy and studied at several college's, Georgetown, Notre Dame and Dartmouth. During WW I he was a pilot in the Navy. Prior to playing in only one major league game with one official at bat for the Boston Nationals in 1920, Tom played professional football with the famous Canton Bulldogs that featured [[Jim Thorpe]]. After appearing in one game he was acquired by the Chicago Cubs and played in the minors with St. Paul and Indianapolis. He managed in the minors with Lowell and Lynn from 1927 to 1930.
