Morgan represented Virginia in the 1945 Esquire All-American Boys' Baseball Game in New York. His team, East, was coached by Babe Ruth[1]
Minor League Career Highlights:
- 1957 All-Star team, Southern Association[1].
- In 1962 he tied for most intentional bases on balls (9) in the Northern League[1].
- Managed 1962, 1963, 1964 All-Star teams in the Northern League[1].
- Managed 1966 All-Star team in the Carolina League[1].
- Signed free agents from Detroit Andy Castro and Jim Mooring into the Twins Organization[1].
