Profile
After graduating from Erskine College and serving in World War II, Padget began his professional career in as a 27-year-old rookie. He retired from professional baseball in 1958 and began work as a commercial pilot. He died in a plane crash in Gastonia NC in 1964 on his way to New Jersey to inspect an oil pipeline.
