John (Bud) Louis Belardi is single and lives in San Jose, California per the 1952 California League Gold Book (Fourth Edition). His nationality is Italian-Swedish. He graduated from Bellarmine Prep School in 1950 and played baseball, basketball and football. He attended San Mateo Junior College and San Jose State College and played baseball at San Mateo Junior College. He works for the city recreation department during the off-season. He played semi-pro ball for the Elko Indians who were the Nevada state semi-pro champions in 1950-1951. His biggest thrill in baseball was making an unassisted triple play. He is a brother of Wayne Belardi, first baseman of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
