Delbert (Del) Eugene Clegg is married and does not have any children. He lives in Santa Paula, California per the 1949 California League Gold Book. He graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1946 and played football, baseball and basketball. He works in an oil field during the off-season. His hobbies are hunting and fishing. His baseball ambition is to pitch a no-hit, no-run game in the World Series! He was in the U. S. Navy for two years. Before entering the pro ranks he played semi-pro ball for the Santa Paula Merchants.
