Donald Earl Appleby is married and has one daughter, Donna Jean age 9 months and lives in
Fresno, California. His nationality is English-Irish. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California in 1946 and played baseball and football. He is a ranch worker during the off-season. His hobbies are golf and tennis. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps. His most unusual experience in baseball was pitching a four-hit game with all of the hits being homers.
