The Prescott Weekly Arizona Miner, January 15, 1875, reports that a game was recently played at Camp McDowell, between the Light Foot club of the 8th US Infantry and the Shamrock club of the 5th Cavalry, won by the Light Foot 14-10 in a five inning game.
Camp McDowell is/was in Maricopa County, AZ, near modern Phoenix.
