The Burlington Daily Hawk Eye Aug. 14, 1867, says the Chariton BBC of Chariton has been formed, and played its first game yesterday.

Chariton IA (1860 pop. about 650; 1870 pop. about 1,700) is about 50 miles S of Des Moines.
