"CRICKET MATCH - A match at Cricket will be played tomorrow, (Tuesday) between the Union Club of this city, (the reorganized Star Club of the West) and the Kentucky Club, of Newport, Ky., on the grounds of the latter, one mile up the Licking River. The Licking steamers will make half-hourly trips to the grounds, from the foot of Newport Barrack Yard for the conveyance of visitors. The lively and spirited style of the players, and their well-known skill in the art of handling the willow will insure a good display of cricket. Play will commence at ten o'clock and continue throughout the day."
