"Founded in 2002, the Federation de Baseball Luxembourg describes itself as being 'in the development phase' of its growth. With less than 500,000 residents, Luxembourg is among the continent;s smallest countries and its baseball play reflects its size. The country has only four teams and a national squad. The clubs play a domestic competition, which has been dominated by the Beckerich Hedgehogs."
Josh Chetwynd, Baseball in Europe (McFarland, 2008), page 216.
