"In a letter and score card dated October 5th, 1867, the Star Club won a sweeping victory against the Monitor Club of Taylor – beating them 85 – 15! [The source] document, one of a handful of early baseball records in southeastern Michigan, is the inspiration for our reformed team. (Document currently on display at the Wyandotte Museum.)"
