Good for the boys, they met on Monday evening, and organized a base ball club, to be called the Eagles, and elected the following officers: President: J.A. Peck Secretary: G.A. McDougall Treaurer: D.C. Clark Directors: McDougall, H.B. Wyman, S. Wharton The first practice game will be played tomorrow, Friday afternoon, at 3 o'clock. Success boys, make the Eagles the champions of the county. They are ready for challenges.


Note: Wabasha, on the Mississippi River between Red Wing and Winona, never got very large. Population was 1,739 in 1870 and reached a high of 2,622 residents in 1910.
