issue of July 30, 1903 reported on a base ball game between a Native-American club, the White Earth Nation (Objibwe), and the Bemidji Base Ball Club. Bemidji won 23-4. They played several more games over the next couple of years.
Newspapers prior to 1903 need to be checked to see if there were earlier games.
