The New Orleans Times Picayune, September 16, 1869 says the Osyka and Summit clubs squared off for the championship of Mississippi, with Osyka winning 47 to 23.
Summit MS (pop. about 1400) is on the southern MS border with LA and about 100 miles N of New Orleans and about 20 miles N of Osyka.
