The Cheyenne (Wyo.) Daily Leader, June 27, 1870, notes that the Silver Star Club of Nevada lost to the Eagle Club of California in a match "for the championship of the Pacific Coast."
The San Francisco Daily Evening Bulletin, June 16, 1870, makes it clear that this is the Carson City Silver Stars, on a tour in CA playing CA teams, including the Eagles of SF.
