The Cherokee Advocate, June 1, 1878: "The base ball club at White Water, in this Nation [the Cherokee Nation], challenges any other club in the Nation for a game of base ball."
White Water was a post office in the Delaware District of the Cherokee Nation (now Delaware County, OK). The county seat is about 80 miles E of Tulsa and near the intersection of the OK, AR, and MO borders.
